Question: When we post pictures of our work in the Gallery is it consider copywrited? If someone wants to use my exact design by copy and paste will they need to get my permission to do so? Thank you |

That's a great question Chris - let me see what I can find out about that for you!

Chris, What are your thoughts? How would you like this to work? We haven't posted Gallery rules yet, but I am inclined to think that the best approach is to establish rules requesting that anyone desiring to use content or ideas from Gallery images should contact the person who posted the images. We don't yet have a way to send private messages, so that may be something to add in the near future. We would love input on this! |

Other sites I have been to ( not scrapbooking) and post pictures, have the name of the poster very faint somewhere on the picture. The poster also has the ability to turn this feature off if they so desire. I don't think it would make much difference if you were posting a page with a family photo in it, but for pages like greeting cards without family photos, anyone can copy just by clicking on the picture in the gallery and send to anywhere on the web and pass it off as their own work.

Chris As far as copyright law is concerned you used to have to put a date and the letter (C) but that is all changed now. Just my 2 cents worth... Martin |
