Forum Topic - I just want to vent & chat.

Dave came home from work early with a 101.5 fever. I am so sleepin on the couch tonight. We have been fightin this stuff on and off since the end of Dec. I got up this morning trying to find balance. Do the cleaning, do a page, fold the laundry do a page. Then got kicked with I do not want to get this chit again. Don't want to post this on FB cause it's all about the talent & the help. But I love the suite gurls & could use some prayers & chat time. I worked hard today to do it all. Made firecrackers, got a pork butt in the oven for BBQ, got out the turkey carcus for soup planning on having sands & soup for the week. Then in walks the flu again. I can't go there. Thanks for listening.

Oh no Menda!!! :0  I'm sure you will not get it again but I will keep you in my prayers! Everyone in my family has had the flu this year except for me. All three of my kids who never get the flu have had it, one of them had it at Christmas when we went out of town to visit my husbands family and my youngest just had it a few weeks ago on his birthday!! Friday night my whole family came from out of town to spend the night and Logan woke up throwing up, and of course he was sleeping with his cousin on the top of his bunk bed! So Saturday during his party he just layed on the couch with a bucket, didn't even get to eat his birthday cake. Then 3 days later his cousin who was sleeping with him got the flu and missed going on his field trip, I felt so bad! I don't know what it is about this year but it seems like the flu bug has been super charged or something, we even all had the flu shot! On a good note, for Logan's party I made your recipe for pulled pork sandwiches, yummy!!! It was a big hit!! :)

The flu bug is no fun!!!  Hope you feel better soon.  I can identify...I came home form my Mamas with what we affectionatly call "the creeping crud"!  Popped pils for hte last few days and am on the mend now, I HOPE!!!  At least it is just me here!  No one to have to take care of or feel like I have to take to!!  I just hibernated and vegged out!

Hey, Menda.  Prayers being sent as I just read this.  Hope Dave feels better soon & that you DO NOT get IT again. will be thinking about you.  Those firecrackers sound good about now!  Hugs.

Bless ya'lls heart. This is what I needed just to vent. I cooked all day no one wants to eat a thing. I just bagged it all. I agree this year is so bad. We get it once a year but can not shake this one. I told Dave not his time I don't even want to come near you, he said don't & I love you. He got a phone call I took him the phone & went & got it with a clorox wipe. The dog is freakin cause dads in the bed & I'm downstairs. Avoid this people IT IS THE PLEAGUE!!!!! Thanks again for your love and prayers.

Poor you.  So far we have been lucky.  Daughter got it and was laid up a whole week but so far the rest of us have been spared - a complete miracle because she was so sad and miserable she slept in our bed for the first half of each night.  For days she didn't eat anything but popsicles.  She's finally better and back in school.
