Forum Topic - New to My Memories Suite - I'm I missing something?

I ordered the software based on reviews I found online.  It indicated the software contained thousands of different types of papers and embilishments.  I received my software last week and was extremely dissappointed.  I did not find a whle lot of embelishments or papers, I'm I missing something?  I went to the site and found out I can purchase additional kits, however that was the only reason I purchased the software to begin with.  I had created two different scrapbooks online using a free application which contained a considerable amount of embilishment and papers at no cost.  Should I be looking somewhere else?

The software does come with a lot of papers and embellishments, but I also thought it wasn't enough for me and in fact, I don't think I have used one background or embellishmeny that came with the program. I have seen beautiful layouts made only with what came with the software but it just isn't my style. But there are TONS and tons of free stuff you can find online. Just do a google search for "free digital scrapbooking" or even go to the websites that sell stuff as most also have a free section. Lastly, I found some amazing kits with tons of stuff on ebay.

Thanks for the info.  I guess I have to go back to what I was doing before spending the money on the software.

There are some free downloads too. I felt the same way when I bought mine (V1) so never bought the new one (V2). They do print some great books if you have them do that. For about the same as shutterfly etc.

Also they do add to the free downloads about monthly. Some months many are added some months not much. I noticed more at the end of the year this year (last month) than ever before so maybe since there is so much free stuff out there......

Hi there!  I'm sorry you weren't able to find anything you wanted to use already in the software when you purchased it.  One of the additional great benefits about My Memories Suite (both versions) is that you can use content that you can find on most any other digital scrapbooking websites easily in your MMS program.  There are always TONS of freebies available at any number of scrapping sites and it is easy to use this content in your MMS.  I will see if I can find the link to the post that shows you how to add and access information to your software - that should help if you want a wider selection to choose from.

Hi again Margarita!  Yes!  You can use any and all of the embellishments (and background papers) that come with the MMS kits to create your own layouts completely from scratch if you wish.  You can start with a blank page (or Create Your Own album) from the beginning screen, then add just what you want to those pages.  For the goodies that come with the individual kits, you can click to add a background paper or embellishment, and then from the drop down categories lists, click the category that the kit you are looking for would fall under, and all your kits will be listed by name under each of the categories.  Open each one and you will be able to view each of the items used to create that kit - and then add each (or all) of the items in that list to your page.  You can mix and match from any kit you like, or anything you find online in the same page.
