Your Journaling Challenge:

I know most of you struggle with journaling. For some people journaling just dosnt come as easily as it does for others, or sometimes a page has a personal meaning that you do not WANT to journal, prefering to keep you thoughts but NOT you emotions to yourself. My challege to you (tough as usual LOL) is to scrap a meaningful page but this time find a poem to add IN PLACE of journaling, making sure though that the poem expresses your emotions! HAVE FUN! ENJOY! And dont forget to post!!!!! ♥ Shawna

Thanks Barb! <3 Shawna

1. Pick a background patterned paper. Add a rectangle to your page about 2" from the left/right and 1" from the top/bottom. Fill with paper.

2. Add a scallop, wave, or other border to the top/bottom or all around your previous rectangle, fill with solid paper.

‎3. Add 3 square photos on the top half of the page, putting the middle photo in the centre and the other two touching or very close, one on each side.Mat two in one color and one in another color.

4. Put a ribbon or border under or over your photos. Add a title on top of the ribbon with 2-3 clustered embellishments.

5.Create 4-9 thin rectangular pieces for journalling (journal strips). Fill with a paper and journal on them.

6. add at least 2 embellishments touching your journal strips (you can add more if you like).

Add at least 2 embellishments to your photo area. Add any other finishing touches and you are done! Post your pages in the photo section so we can see them. ♥

1. Choose a photo you really like, and that has several options for cropping into smaller sizes.

2. Crop your photo into 4 different pieces, highlighting something interesting in each piece.

3. Select 2 papers, lay one on top of the other at an angle so that the background paper looks like a frame around it. It can be whateve angle you choose, but the background paper must show.

4. Choose at least 4 more different papers and cut them into strips or rectangles.

5. Working down the center one third of your page, place your paper pieces and photos. Stack them, layer them, angle them whatever becomes a pleasing arrangement. Just remember you are onyl working in the center one third, there must be open white space on the right and left sides.

6. Add some tiny flowers, buttons, small swirls, leaves, small ribbons, or bows, tucking them into your arrangement. You don’t have to use all of those items, but the pieces you do use should be small in size and scale.

7. Add shadows, a title or spot of journaling. ♥ Shawna

I want you to go grab a kit, some photos. Then sit down and scrap your heart out, only ONE rule to this challenge, seems pretty EASY huh? Well the ONE rule is you have to use EVERY embellishment in your kit at least ONCE on your page!!!! I know this is a big challenge for some of you who prefer the “crisp clean” looking pages, but would LOVE to see your pages. Post if your brave enough to try this one!!!  ♥ Shawna
