PHOTO tutorial on organizing photos 03/27/2011 21:19:27

Ok girlies (and guys)…I have a super sweet (and challenging) challenge for you today. All day I have been in a Funk feeling sorry for myself about the little things that are going wrong, forgetting there are much bigger problems out there in the world. Im sure it happens to the best of us. So today, why not take the time to scrap a page about somebody close to you, but DO NOT use a photograph of that person in your layout and DO NOT tell that person your page is about him/her. Simply scrap about how you feel about that person and what makes him/her so special to you. You will have everyone around you wondering if your special page is about “THEM”!!! Lets spread some love around. ♥ Shawna.

Today’s Challenge: A Font Challenge: give this font a try. It is called “Throw My Hands Up in the Air”. I chose it because we got about 4 inches MORE of snow last night and all I can do is throw my hands up in the air in disgust!!!! Use it anywhere on your layout! Have fun and don’t forget to post! ♥ Jessica

Jessica’s Speed Scrap Instructions:

1. Chose 3 OR MORE photos.
2. Based on your photos, decide on a title. It’s going to be a focal point on your page. Use an alpha (somewhat bigger), and put it in the MIDDLE of the page.
3. Your photos should be split, some above the title, some below the title.
Go ahead and arrange your photos.
4. Journaling is the craze right now, it’s like an element. Show it off on your page. Find two separate areas on your page and create to have two ‘journaling blocks”.
5. Visual Triangle. Use the old ‘designers eye’ trick and use the power of 3. Use 3 of the same element (i.e. flower) to create a ‘visual’ triangle. It doesn’t have to be a perfect 90degree triangle… go with what visually looks good. Have at least one circular element on your page. It can be a photo, wordart, bling…whatever you like! Embellish the rest of your page how you’d like.
6. Shadow, shadow, shadow… shadowing is SO important. Spend some time and make them look realistic. Date and add anything else you want to in order to make it perfect! HAVE FUN! ♥ Jessica

Barb’s (Albums to Remember) speed scrap instructions:

We will use 2 papers for this layout. One solid and one patterned.
1. Choose a background paper for your layout (either a solid or pattern)
2. Put a border along one edge of your page, running the entire length or width. If you used a pattern for your background use a solid for the border or vice versa
3. Choose 3 photos for your page and make them 3 different sizes, making sure to put them on your page so that all the photos are touching each other (cluster them), make sure at least one photo touches your border.

‎4. Pick 2 embellishments and make sure they are on your page 3 times each. One needs to be tucked behind the photos, the other you can place anywhere.
5. Add 3 more embellishments of your choice (3 different ones, don’t repeat them)
6. Add a title in 2 parts (one word in a large font or alphabet) and the other part of the title written in a smaller font.
7. Journal, add shadows and now you are done!
